Apple Music Favorites for Artists and Fans

Apple Music has a feature that allows fans to favorite an artist. This provides benefits and contributes to the in app experience for both fans and artists.

Here’s some of the key highlights once an artist has been favorited:

• Fans receive a notification every time there is a new release.

• Fans also receive a notification when an instant gratification track is available leading up to an album release.

• Favorite artists are displayed on the Home Screen, similar to bookmarks, allowing for return listening.

• Apple Music recommends music based on favorite artists, favoriting means more music from artists you love.

Here’s how it works:

• Fans can tap the star icon on an artist profile.

• Artists can create a custom social image asset and share a direct link encouraging fans to favorite them.

• Artists can create a custom favorites asset via the Promote tab in the Apple Music for Artists App.

These assets can be created in the Apple Music for Artists website or via the Apple Music for Artists mobile app.
